Christmas for us this year happened on Monday December 26, 2011. We told the kids that Daddy had to work on Christmas Day and that we talked to Santa and he would make a special trip for us on Monday. Christmas, Sunday, we attended church for the hour that they had it, where Eric came in uniform, and received a new calling Assistant Ward Clerk. Then we came home and relaxed. Then about 1:30 my Grandparents, Jim and Virginia, came to our house and hung out and had Christmas dinner. Daddy came home for a little bit for dinner but it was so busy he only got to eat and left. My Grandma was amazing she helped me prepare the food as well as clean up, washing dishes. I think we both were in the kitchen for about 4 hours without any breaks. She is a great inspiration! Daddy home came home about 7:00p.m. and then we read the birth of Christ from the Bible, opened a Christmas present, which is always pajamas, and watched a short movie. The kids then went to bed in anticipation for Santa. The next morning Eric and I woke the kids up about 6 am. The were excited! Emily had a kitchen and a baby bassinet that was waiting for her. The boys had to open the presents from Santa. Ben this year started to act like a normal child on Christmas. Looking for a certain gift, and when he didn't find it tossed the other aside. Joey was so fun, he was excited over everything! Emily liked to open all the presents. Many times we would catch her just before she revealed what the item was. Eric and I got some wonderful presents as well. We opened presents until about 11:30 a.m. Which at that time mom was exhausted and so was Emily. So we took a nap and when I woke up Eric had surprised me by cleaning up all of the mess we had made from Christmas. We then hung out and played with our new Christmas gifts the rest of the day. It was a great Christmas!
