Hi this week the Edwards family had a couple of simple things that we did. Most of the pictures are just random pictures that I wanted to remember.
The boys did an art project this week. They liked it so much we did it three separate days. We took a roll of paper towels. Then we took some cups and filled them with water and food coloring. Then we tore off one paper towel. Folded it to a smaller size and dipped the corner of the paper towel in the water and then opened it and let it dry. It was really fun and not too much of a mess. They liked to see all the tie dyed towels and it entertained them for about half an hour. It would have been longer but I didn’t want to go through an entire roll of towels.
One of the videos is of Ben and he is showing Emily her book and asking her questions like “what do you see in the picture?” It is so cute to see them interact. He really likes to protect her.
In another video Joey is dancing to Umizoomi.
I watched my friend’s Melissa’s little girl one day this week and she is so cute. She really gets along great with the boys. Emily followed her all over the place. It was too cute.
I had class on Thursday night and I was in charge of leading the discussion for about 27 students. It ended up being horrible for me. I came home very discouraged and never wanting to teach again. The class is usually supposed to last anywhere from 45 minutes to an hour. I think we lasted 25 minutes. I didn’t get any response from the students. The people that I was relying on to carry the discussion were quiet. I would like to think it was because they were filling their mouth full of my yummy cookies I was bribing them with. I was leading the discussion on goals. I told them about my goal of getting food storage and couponing which inspired me to start a section of a couponing blog. I have gotten a lot of awesome deals in two weeks. I hope you will check out my couponing portion of the blog.
Friday I went out to do more couponing and it is amazing how some checkers (the majority) are nice and will help you out with couponing and others will do everything they can to thwart any effort being made. If I hadn’t read the krazy coupon lady’s book, I think I would have let her push me around and would have sworn off coupons. But I realized it is something that I could handle and I did. I was really proud of myself. I didn’t post it but I got a year’s supply of tampons for $10.21. These were the platex brand too.
Emily’s coat broke and most of the stores have put up their stock. So my mom was awesome and sent Emily a beautiful coat. Every place we stopped she got a compliment. Also while I was out shopping I stopped off at the bank and got succors. So when we got home Emily had her first succor. She wasn’t sure what to think about it.
Three of the videos are from last week except I couldn’t get them to post, so they are on this week’s blog.

Hi. Well here is our crazy life once again. At beginning of the week we did a science experiment. One of the boys sat under the table while we covered it with blankets. He then told us when it was dark. The goal was to prove that things are the same in the light as in the dark (ie: his stuffed puppy is not a monster) The boys got a kick out of it. Next Ben asked me to take a picture of him under the bed, then Joey wanted one of him so he posed on the bed, and then of course Ben thought that was cool and wanted to do a pose on the bed too. Monday night for our family home evening game we decided to teach the boys how to play Uno and they loved it! It is actually quite fun and I don’t hate playing it with them. We decided to celebrate our family Valentines on Wednesday because Eric worked on Valentines. We have decided as a tradition that we will do a family valentine instead of individual gifts. So we spent the day having fun together. Unfortunately Emily woke up with a very high fever and was lethargic. I actually set her on the couch and she was trying to sleep it off I figured the fever was from the virus the boys have had. I felt so bad for her but with medicine she was fine so we still had our valentine’s day. We started out by going to Burger King. The boys were excited because other than traveling to visit family we don’t go out to eat. While we were their Emily’s ear drum perforated but because it had happened in the past I didn’t think twice about it. Next we went to the bowling alley. Ben had been asking for weeks to go so I had been planning to add it to our V-day experience. The boys had fun but Joey towards half of the game basically got bored and didn’t even want to bowl. I wish that they would allow a kids game to be like 5 frames because we were all kind of burnt out after one game. Pathetic I know. Then we let the kids play in the arcade at the bowling alley. They had a blast playing air hockey with Eric. Notice the game that Eric is playing, I wonder why he decided to play that. We then went to the bookstore and got some books and the kids were happy about that. Last we went to Baskin Robbins. Eric wanted Ben to try some of his ice cream but as you can see he wasn’t interested. Emily fell asleep in the car so she was asleep in my arms. I really wanted her to be awake because I wanted to see her eat her first ice cream cone. Then as we were leaving Baskin Robbins she woke up and I noticed fluid in her other ear which meant that ear drum had perforated. I then put two and two together and knew then that two perforated ear drums and a high fever were connected. I had gone into the pediatrician the day before and he knew she had fluid but felt nothing was infected but asked me to watch it. So I called him and he immediately got her in and put her on antibiotics. One of these days she will clear up. As part of valentines they would have been taken to Chuck E Cheese but a little girl in the ward had invited them to a birthday party so it all worked out. I also found out this week that Emily loves, loves, loves rice! She gets very upset when she runs out. Well I know it was a lot thanks for reading. Love the Edwards Family.
