Christmas, Christmas Eve, New Years

Well once again the year went by too fast. Eric started playing Christmas music at the beginning of Thanksgiving. When I asked him why so soon he said I would be grateful because the holidays would be over before we know it. I can't believe it is gone. The kids go back to school tomorrow. We had a good holiday!

Christmas Eve Breakfast Tree Cinnamon Rolls that Isaac chose to help make.
I have a tradition of a Nativity. It is really the one thing I want my kids to do for me. However, it was a big mess. The kids were angry and Eric even had to perform in the place of Joseph.  As we performed this short 5 minute skit we gave Allison and Andrew a sheep and cow to pretend they were the animals in the stable. Isaac was a sheperd, Ben the Angel, Joe the Innkeeper,  and Emily Mary. As they were kneeling around the manager the sheep and cow started attacking the shepperd. It was hilarious. We all laughed and made the nativity more fun, memorable and helped get the fammily in a better spirit.

Playing hot potato from the Christmas Eve box.

Joseph created a plastic wrap ball for a family game.

This year the city of Richland had a light show. The kids enjoyed running around in the snow, through the lights and the music.

Emily was the only child that wanted to stay up to leave cookies for Santa. Joseph made them and froze them and it was perfect for Santa.
Ally fell asleep while we were looking at Christmas lights on Christmas Lane.

 Christmas morning chaos.

Andrew opened his "loopty loop" race track, he calls it.  He went over to Eric and gave him a huge hug and said "Thank you Daddy!" All on his own.

Ben and Emily had Andy build his magformer ferris wheel

Joseph was excited to stack cups.
We invited the Kidder Family and Brooks Family over an early New Years Eve Party. Since New Years Eve fell on Sunday we had a party on Saturday night. Daddy could also be there since he has to work on New years eve.

Right before Eric was on the news to tell drivers to lock cars during the holiday season.

In primary the kids did a singing time of decorating the Christmas tree. Isaac was so quiet that it made me realize he really wanted to be chosen. I decided we should try it at home. They had fun decorating dad as a Christmas tree.

Thursday the 21st thru Saturday the 23rd we were invited to join the Rawlins Family at Camp Zarahemla in the lodge. We had a fun time. The kids especially enjoyed the snow.

I took a picture so Ally could see that Nosy was sleeping with her.
After Camp Z we went to Miner's. Ben has been talking about this since he went for school. The kids were happy for the good food.

Joseph was on the Honor Roll for 4th Grade Vista
