Pictures of twin delivery, and Joseph 7th birthday

Pictures of actual delivery, if you don't want to see than you may want to scroll past.
Well it has been almost a month since the twins were born. Summer was visiting and I had an appointment. Because Andrew was the second baby and a pound bigger they decided to do a C-section.   We ended up getting a C-section 4 days early. We were scheduled to have the C-section at 3 pm.  But they were so busy it ended up being 8 pm.  I was really sick because I hadn’t eaten since 7 am. The IV helped but I still had hunger pains and it really made contractions awful. I was really scared. This was my first surgery ever. Eric gave me a blessing which really helped to comfort and calm me. I walked in and when they found out Dr.Rawlins was one of the Dr’s they said it must be a special patient because he doesn’t usually deliver. That made me feel special. I think the hardest part was being in the operating room without Eric. I had to solely rely on the Spirit to comfort me. About the time they cut the incision Eric was let into the room. Allison came out first and she had a true not in her umbilical cord. They say they never see that but I have now had 2 babies come out that way.  They both came out and Andrew was so quiet I didn’t think he was okay. But they showed me they were both okay. I had awesome Anthestelogist that made sure I was okay.  He told me he could give me meds to calm me but I wouldn’t remember the delivery of my babies, so I said I would try and calm down.  I think it was Andrew they brought to me crying and the minute I started talking to him and I kissed him, he calmed down. It was amazing to me that they recognize me that fast. It was amazing. Since that time Eric had 3 weeks off and he was wonderful. He really took charge, more than any other pregnancy. I healed better and faster than I expected.  Friends have really stepped up and help take charge too. The babies are such a blessing but very tough. The kids love them too.
