Christmas Eve and Christmas December 2013

We had an amazing Christmas. Christmas Eve, afternoon started out with the Nativity. We decided it would be best to perform during nap time for Isaac since he was destroying the stable the day before.  Ben played multiple parts, Joseph HAD to be Joseph and of course Emily was Mary.

We tried to spend less on the kids for Christmas this year. We did really well. We stayed within our $100.00 budget per child. I just got awesome deals throughout the year.  Even though they had less they were just as happy. Made me grateful.  Family and friends were awesome with providing a ton of gifts. Thank you so much!

Monday we went over to Susies and Brians for family time. Grandma Virginia and Grandpa Jim were visiting as well. It was a fun time.
Joseph enjoyed playing with the cat.
Isaac enjoyed playing with the train, and Dad had a tough time keeping him away.

I was very sad to see that Emily and Jacob were not in the picture because their heads got cut off :(

Christmas Eve we do our traditional pajamas. Ben hasn't figured that out yet and was pretty upset when he found out the present he had waited all day for was going to be clothes.

Christmas morning went well. Mom and Dad slept upstairs so we could keep the kids from going downstairs. 4:30 am. Emily woke up, she wanted a cup of milk. I told her to stay upstairs, which she usually does, but must have remembered Santa. As soon as I was heading upstairs I saw her peeking around the corner and I was hoping she didn't see her castle.  I said lets go upstairs, I must have startled her because she started sobbing. I felt awful. I had her sleep with me on the couch and just as I was almost asleep she taps me awake and says excitedly, "Mom, Santa got me my castle!" I was happy to see she was happy. She even waited till 6:00 am. when mom and dad woke everyone up.  Sadly enough Joseph woke up sick. He was pale, couldn't stand and puked all over in the bathroom. While he was recovering I told the kids to say a prayer for him and we would be able to start Christmas. They did and within minutes he felt great, even for the rest of the day.
They are waiting for Joseph to recover so they can go down stairs to open presents, lasting 6 hrs!
