December 2, 2012
Benjamin asked me to take a picture of him eating crackers and cheese so his “Grandma’s” new that he was eating healthy food.  Although it is spray cheese and I don’t think that it is too healthy, baby steps right? Emily has been doing everything with her baby Rapunzel that she got a year ago. It is so funny because the other night at dinner the doll had to sit in the baby high chair and she fed it chips. She dances with it, it has to be in pictures, and she swings with it. The other morning she was nursing it. I know interesting but what can I do about that? Especially since I hear they are coming out with nursing dolls. Not that I am for that but I can’t tell her it is wrong since she sees mommy feed the baby that way.  We set up Christmas on December 1st this year. It seem to be a good day for us this year. It was really hard for mommy to let the kids take over and decorate because they really wanted to. But they had fun and overall it doesn’t look too bad. They opened their first Christmas present  of the season a Christmas Book of Christmas Stories.  The boys had a dance recital, well kind of dance recital, on December 1st.  The studio is preparing for the Nutcracker and they allowed all the children in the younger classes to go up and perform. They didn’t have any direction, they were allowed to perform how they wanted.  Poor Joey didn’t know what to do. He was schedule d to go on the stage at 7:20 pm. I felt prompted to leave at 6:30. We live 10 minutes from the location. We ended up in the middle of an accident so it took us almost 30 minutes to get there, (they were still working on it when we headed home)  we walked in thedoors at 7:00 and we sit down and at 7:05 pm.,  they called his class on stage. I was freaking out! I rushed to get his shoes on, he ended up in Ben’s shoes which I didn’t know, 2 sizes too big. But he made it. I felt bad because I didn’t give him the chance to prep him what he needed to do. That it was a time for him to just express himself. I was so happy I listened to the promptings of the Holy Spirit so he could be on stage with his class. Ben and his friend Grant were able to dance on stage with another little girl. They normally have about 12 kids in their class but they didn’t hand out the paper to his class. I think the only ones that attended had siblings with papers that is how we knew and then we told the Lawrences. It was fun and the kids did great.
