As a science experiment we went out to the driveway and drew chalk shadows. We started in the morning and ended in the evening. It was to show the kids the placement of their shadows with the placement of the sun. They had fun. 
For an exercise activity I gave each of the kids a balloon that they had to chase around the yard. They had a lot of fun and it really got them running.
