I haven’t posted for a month because of certain
circumstances. We went to Salt Lake City, Utah a couple of days before Father’s
day. We brought my niece Rose home to help out with swim lessons for the next
two weeks. That night when we got home I took Isaac upstairs to his room to
sleep. I went to bed and when he cried I went up stairs to get him. I had been
asleep so I was coming down the stairs tired, and I slipped and landed on the
edge of the stairs. I had protected the baby so I couldn’t brace myself. I knew at that moment I had broke something.
I called for Eric but he couldn’t hear me. Luckily, Rose heard me. I needed
help with the baby and she ran and got Eric he helped me down the stairs and to
my room. I laid in bed for about 30 mins in pain and it wouldn’t go away. Eric
had to work at 5 am and I he couldn’t take any time off. So I text my friend
Kim and she took me to the ER. She was such an awesome help. I found out that I had fractured one of my lumbar transverse process. Then in
a follow up visit a couple of days later the specialist said that I actually
fractured 3 possibly 4 of my lumbar transverse process. Results 4 to 6 weeks
healing. I was so blessed to have Rose
here and my mother showed up a couple of days after the accident. It has been 3
weeks since the accident and I still can’t drive. My mom is still helping out
but I am improving. I am glad that it happened during the summer time and not
the school year. We had family and
friends for the 4th of july it was a really fun time.
A chronicle of the craziness that is the life of Eric, Kristina, Benjamin,Joseph Emily, Isaac, Allison & Andrew.

Ben’s last day of school was Friday. I woke him up blasting his
new marimba cd that he begged for. Then I made strawberry shakes for breakfast. The kids and
I picked him up from school with a banner that said “Ben is going to 1st
grade.” Then we went bowling with the Lawrences as part of an end of the school
activity. It was a lot of fun. However, my battery in my camera died before I could get pics of Joey bowling. Saturday
we went watched Hailey Lawrence perform for dance. The kids had fun watching
the dancers. It was a busy week but not a lot to write about.
June 3 2012
It has been so long since I have written. The family has
been sick off on and for nearly 3 weeks now. It was high fever, headaches, and
aches, followed with pink eye. We are very
blessed that Isaac didn’t catch it because at one point Ben had a 105 fever and
that could have been awful for Isaac. Luckily with Tylenol within minutes it
dropped to 101. Many things have
happened in the past month. Summer and
her family came and visit. Jonathan was more than a trooper. With multiple
surgeries on his throat he still traveled with the family. Poor baby bells
ended up getting sick with the high fever and pink eye at our house. I hear it
made a terrible trip home. Poor
baby. We had so much fun while they were
here though. We went to the park, went swimming at the hotel and roasted
marshmallows. The kids got along great and I was excited to spend time with my
sister. I found a picture of Emily from
a year ago. I think she looks a lot like Isaac. Emily has been a stinker
lately. She got really mad at me one morning and threw her yogurt and in the
process it landed on her head. I had to torment her by taking a picture
first. Joey has started a new fashion
trend. He always wears ties on the back of his shirt. He is funny but now I am
able to pick him out in a crowd of kids easier.
We went to the school carnival. The kids had a lot fun, my camera died
so I only got a picture of Emily. Dan was visiting and he helped with the kids
which made it nice. That evening we roasted marshmallows with our friends the
Lawrences as well as Dan. The next morning we walked around the community yard
sale and found a bike for Joey. He absolutely loves it! The kids have been
chalk crazy lately. We traced their bodies and they colored them in. I also showed them my coin collection. They
were very interested in helping me. My
little Joey is so artsy. He even falls asleep coloring. I really tried to help the kids celebrate
memorial day. We did some crafts, they colored a chalk flag, we learned about
what the day meant and the boys went golfing with their dad. We went and got free bike helmets again this
year. I got a picture of Emily wearing the helmet she wanted but didn’t get. It
was too big. She was so mad she didn’t even want the other one, a bug one. She
kept hitting it out of the way and cried.
She is all girl. The ice cream
truck has stated coming around again. It is a tradition we have had for three
Summers now and I think the kids really like to wait at the end of the
driveway. I have decided I am going to
Home School the kids. I have been researching what I need to do and I am really
excited the benefits we will receive from doing so. Well I will talk to you
later.
