April 28, 2013 Ben Birthday

I have to explain the picture above. I gave Isaac about a 1 inch piece of licorice. I sat down to read some school work about 5 minutes and came back to a licorice couch, and his face like this. He had four pieces of licorice in his mouth at once that his sister had so kindly given him.

Ben celebrated his 7th birthday. We had a family party and  his Aunt Susan and Cousin Jacky, and he was told he could have one friend so his friend Grant and his Mom Kim attend as well as Mom Dad, Emily, Isaac and Joseph.  He had a Lord of the Ring theme. He had an Elf hat, bow and arrow set, and cape all homemade.  He also received a lot of wonderful presents.  His video was on the News and it was entered in a drawing and he won the Birthday prize. He won two tickets to watch the Fever football team and he got a Fever football. He was pretty bummed that his birthday pancake 7 didn’t look as good as he thought it should. He also skyped with family members. We ended the night by going to Tony Romas for dinner because he wanted, pizza from there, yes Pizza.  He had a good day.

Emily Birthday and Eric's Chemical Burns.

Emily turned 3 this past week. Eric had to work on her birthday so we celebrated one day later.  Friday morning she was wide awake before Dad got off of graveyards. I was surprisingly able to keep her upstairs.  Ben helped me decorate the downstairs.  She opened a couple of gifts in the morning. She liked her play cellphone so much that I didn’t realize she snuck it in the bathtub and it was ruined within 15 minutes of owning it. Sad!  Daddy fell asleep so we had to wait for him to wake up.  She skyped with her cousins, Isabell, Guin, and Gideon and they sang happy birthday and watched her open their gift.  The day we celebrated fell on cousin Riley’s birthday too. He sent the kids birthday party bags so they skyped with him and had a mini birthday party, too cute.  When Daddy woke up Mommy took Emily to the store to spend the money Grandma Penny and Grandpa Pat had sent her and Great Grandma Rosie and Great Grandpa Mel had sent her.  She went in to Kohls and surprised me by getting a couple of shirts, swimming suit, toe nail polish set, purse and little desk for the car, almost all of which were hello kitty.  It was soooo cute. However it made me wonder why she begged for a Dora Cake, which by the way she helped make. She didn’t decorate that would be Mom’s horrible job.   Anyway, after shopping we had a little family party where Great Grandma Virginia and Great Grandpa Jim visited.  She opened all her gifts, she got clothes, and toys and books. She was very excited for her day. We ended the day by taking her to Burger King to eat and play. She had a good day.
