November 13, 2011 Halloween Pictures

Halloween we started trick or treating at 5:30 p.m. No we were not the first to be out with our kids. The boys had fun but then they physically started beating each other up because they wanted to knock on the door first. It was crazy! Emily, you would have thought was a veteran to trick or treating. Each time she hopped out of the wagon, grabbed her pumpkin and walked to the door. It was quite cute. Although we had to chase her into a couple of people's house, especially if they had a dog. Joey and Emily were tired of trick or treating, (and so was mom) after an hour. Ben and Dad went for about 20 minutes longer and came home with double the candy that Joey and Emily had. It was a fun night.

October 29, 2011 Trunk or Treat

This year trunk or treat for the ward was on Saturday. We will be going around the neighborhood on Monday for Halloween. Eric had to work. Emily was dressed up as Rapunzel from Tangled. Grandma Jill made her costume. Ben wanted to be Wolverine and so of course Joey wanted to be Wolverine too. Emily didn't want to wear the hair but when we got to the church and she saw the candy she was too distracted to mess with her hair. She stopped to check her candy every time. Joey is still in the little kid, shy, excited stage and Ben is in the go with the flow stage. I had a lot of fun with the kids.

October 23 2011

Emily is riding a horse that Eric's Late Grandpa made. The boys enjoyed making their Halloween kits. The kids also liked flying kites this week. Ben is showing off for Spirit Week. This is miss match day.






Benjamin had a jog a thon at school. It is the only fundraiser that school does. He ran 20 laps in 1 hour. Which ended up being about 3 1/2 to 4 miles. His brother, sister, mom and dad were there to cheer him on. Dad ended up running like 12 laps with him.

The boys participated in the annual howl and scram. Joey was in the 0-4 age group 1/4 mile and Ben was in the 5-8 age group 1/2 mile. Joey ran his best and he was so excited when they handed him candy and a ribbon. He said "I won!"
Ben really surprised us. He ran his little heart out. He came in 5th out of about 40 kids. If he would have placed 3rd he would have gotten a medal. The 4 kids ahead of him were probably 7 or 8 at least. He was happy to have tried so hard. They both received shirts for competing. They had a lot fun.

September 2011

The month of September went by fairly fast. We did a lot of different things. The pictures are backwards so I will start backwards. At the end of the month we attended the Sacajewea Heritage Days. We missed going with Summer and her girls and Grandma Penny. It was a fun time though. Joey was extremely scared of the coyote but he was still brave enough to take a picture. We took out halloween and the kids found the costumes. I dressed Em up in the bear costume but she dressed up in the star wars costume. She wanted to be like the boys. Ben lost his second tooth. He also wanted to make something (like phineas and ferb) so we decided a planet system would be good enough. He was so excited. I also took Joey's 4 year old pictures. He is so cute! It was a good month. Ben wanted to know when school was going to be finished. He doesn't even have a clue how much longer he has to attend. Ben was also diagnosed with Asthma. After an evaluation it was determined that Joey needs speech therapy but that he is above average on his intelligence for a 4 year old.
